ZenQ has celebrated its Annual Day, SPARKZ this weekend. The anniversary was used to developed bond between 300 plus staff in a day long outing to Ramoji Film City.
On the eve, Murali Bollu, CEO of ZenQ who is also HYSEA President said, an event like this gives all employees an opportunity to open up and express themselves.
Murali informed, “We aim to achieve 25 per cent growth year on year. We have just opened an office in Toronto in Canada. We already have a presence in USA. We are exploring to open an office in UK in near future. We have achieved a target turnover of US $ 8 mn in the year 2018 and 2019. We set a target of US $ 11.3 million for the year 2019 and 2020. And we are confident of achieving the same. Last year we have invested US $ 4mn in setting up new and integrated office space in Hyderabad.”
Murali disclosed that they are investing in research in new technologies such as IoT, Data Sciences, VR, AR and Blockchain etc.
Speaking about the IT growth prospects of the city, Murali observed that Hyderabad has overtaken Banglaore in space absorption in the first quarter of the year 2019. Out of the 12.8 million sq ft, the IT Hub of Hyderabad absorbed 3.5mn sft space. We went up from 1.1 mn to 3.5 million which is very encouraging he shared. In the past period of 1991 to 2019 IT industry developed or consumed 50mn sft space and provided employment to 5.5 lakh people. Now in next four years 40 million to 50 million sft space is coming up and is being added.
There being no limit for FSI (Floor Space Index) this growth is possible. It is only unique to Hyderabad. But, a word of caution he said and added that in this growth path we should not become another Chennai.
Murali Boillu, CEO of ZenQ, claimed, “ZenQ is proud to share that half of its total 420 staff, i.e 50% are women, while industry average is just around 25 to 30%. We are proud about it. Though no effort was put in, nor any special drive was initiated to keep it like that, but it has happened naturally to us and we are very proud about it.”

Whichever device is ‘smart’ has to have software and there is an unlimited scope for software testing market. Every MNC has Testing division. Software Testing turning out to be a huge opportunity for India because of the time zone differences. So the product development happens all through 24 hours. This reduces gestation time to go to market. India is the software testing capital of the world.
Murali thinks Software Testing must be taught as a subject in B. Tech Computer Science course. This must be introduced as a special subject. It can be a semester subject.
