In a chat with VARINDIA, Shirish Moghe, Country Manager – Yealink shares more about his company and how it tries to be different from its competitors through the various solutions and services it offers -
Tell us something about Yealink and the different segments that you are catering to?
Yealink’s mission is to create value in network communication and enjoy its pleasures, help clients maximize their business success, and embrace the power of “Easy Collaboration”. It strives for excellence in each segment market, sticks to the core of “to the ultimate in every scenario of the enterprise” no matter in what industry.
What are the solutions and services that Yealink provides? How do you try to be different from your competitors?
Yealink started the business with USB phone in 2001, before launching SIP phone in 2009. By then Yealink has become the Top. 1 SIP phone provider in the world. In 2015, targeting at a promising market, Yealink sought innovation and released Video Conferencing System. A few years later, Yealink upgraded its strategic partnership with Microsoft and Zoom to deliver greater communication value, developing video conferencing for every meeting space.
Yealink is always committed to making a consistent investment in R&D of new products. Besides, Yealink deeply understands and explores customer needs, polishes easy-to-use products and solutions. We believe that’s why we can stand out from competition and be recognized by customers at home and abroad.
Which are the focused verticals that Yealink is focusing? What will be your the go-to-market strategy?
Yealink’s vision is to thus become a world-leading UC terminal solution provider, and so it is continuously focusing on the IT communication industry.
As for the strategy, Yealink has established stable partnership with over 80 distributors over 100 countries already, and is aiming at creating an efficient Partner Channel ecosystem, increasing the continuous empowerment of partners based on the development quality.
Yealink is aggressively recruiting UC/VC/AV partners across India and SAARC who believe in transforming the enterprise experiences and providing best in class video and audio experience.
How are you empowering the VARs in the country? How do you engage partners in regular training programmes to get them accustomed to latest technologies and solutions?
Yealink strongly believes that partner enablement is the Key to success and is its top priority. It conducts regular periodic training for various set of partners and firmly believes that only when a strong relationship with its partners is built, the latest product information to end-users will be delivered in time and Yealink can reach the ultimate goal of customer satisfaction. This is the reason why we hold webinars and training programmes regularly. We have set a benchmark where partners must pass a qualification and certification exam.
How do you define your distribution network and what is the roadmap for the next 2years?
To build the appeal of Yealink brand at home and abroad, distributors play an indispensable part in the business growth since they have comprehensive understanding of consumer preference. In the past 18 years, Yealink has firmly adhered to the channel strategy and continues to build a fair, open, cooperative and win-win channel ecological environment, it did work actually. And in the next two years, Yealink will bring in global learnings and customize it to India as apt. Undeniable, Yealink will pay more attention to the countries like India which has great potential market and what’s more, we will then perfect the distribution network and build technical support service system for local partners and end-users.
Could you brief about your R&D activities?
The ultimate pursuit of products by Yealink determines that we must continuously invest in R&D activities. More specifically, over 50% of Yealink’s staffs are top-talent technical professionals and are divided into more than 40 teams. Each team is responsible for one specific aspect, working together to obtain every patent and product release; so far Yealink has owned more than 200 patents. Yealink has also spent tens of millions in building R&D building, State-Level audio lab and EMC lab; we can confidently say that they are more advanced than other companies. So far, Yealink has offered a multipoint video conferencing solution, wherever in huddle, medium or large meeting room, users can enjoy seamless video collaboration. Yealink has also launched MVC series Video Solution and CP960-UVC kits for Microsoft and Zoom Teams. In the future, Yealink will concentrate much on R&D activities and launch more products to lead an IT tide.
