With a powerful 64MP quad camera setup paired with an equally capable chipset, Redmi Note 8 Pro is an absolute beast. The camera setup extends to the front with a 20MP selfie shooter.
The octa-core Helio G90T mobile platform brings unprecedented gaming capability to this segment. With a refreshed Aura Design featuring an exquisite Gamma Green colour and dual Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Redmi Note 8 Pro is a rare combination of a beautiful, ergonomic design with beastly insides. A full HD+ 16.5 cm (6.53) Dot Notch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio headlines the front with thin bezels across all sides. The rear facade of Redmi Note 8 Pro sports 3D curved glass, creating an ergonomic hand feel with a thickness of only 8.8 mm. All-day battery life has been a hallmark of the Note series and this time a 4500mAh battery (18W charger in box) ensures one gets the best of gaming and photography all day long.
64MP Quad Camera setup that goes across perspectives
For the first time ever, the Redmi Note series features a camera array consisting of four cameras. This includes a 64MP main camera, an ultra-wide angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, a depth sensor and a macro lens that allows you to go as close as 2cm to the subject, for photos as well as videos. This makes Redmi Note 8 Pro an extremely versatile imaging tool, allowing users to capture a multitude of perspectives and scenes.
In low light, Redmi Note 8 Pro’s main camera automatically triggers Super Pixel, thereby combining information from four pixels into one, giving users 16MP shots with incredible details.
Alexa built-in with Dual Wake
“Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first smartphone to launch with Amazon Alexa built-in. It will enable users to interact and execute several tasks including but not limited to playing music, getting a quick news update, control smart home, check the weather in real-time or select from thousands of Alexa Skills by simply saying the “Alexa” keyword.
The smartphone comes with Dual Wake which allows Redmi Note 8 Pro to interact with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa simultaneously.
4500mAh battery with 18W charging out of the box
Addressing user feedback, Redmi Note 8 Pro features a larger capacity 4500 mAh battery, but also comes with support for 18W fast charging over USB Type-C out of the box.
Redmi Note 8 - 48MP Quad All-rounder
Redmi Note 8 is an all-round upgrade on the very popular Redmi Note 7S, with a 48MP quad camera set up. Equipped with a 6.3” Dot Notch Display with Aura Fluid Design, Redmi Note 8 offers an incredibly immersive FHD+ visual experience that achieves an impressive 90% screen-to-body ratio. The TÜV Rheinland-certified display offers a comfortable viewing experience by filtering out blue light and protecting users from prolonged eye strain.
Redmi Note 8 is a photography powerhouse, sporting a quad camera setup on the rear. Its 48MP ultra high-resolution primary camera features a ½-inch sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and 79.4° field of view. On the front, Redmi Note 8 boasts a 13MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and built-in AI technology that helps users take a perfect selfie, every time. The front camera also includes a panorama selfie feature -- a first for the Redmi Note series -- that can capture group images without cropping anyone out.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 mobile platform offers great performance while maintaining power efficiency, backed by a 4000mAh battery with 18W charging over Type-C out of the box.
MIUI 11
MIUI 11 significantly upgrades the design element and brings a new set of refined features with a visually enhanced interface with Dark Mode. MIUI 11 makes efficient use of AMOLED screen capabilities and brings new customisations to the popular Always-on display. MIUI 11 also introduces new dynamic ambient nature sounds for notifications.
