Xiaomi debuts Mi Max 2 at Rs.16,999

Xiaomi has launched Mi Max 2 in India with a large-screen display. With a 6.44-inch supersized 2.5D curved glass screen featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Mi Max 2 is perfect for watching movies or TV shows on the go. In addition, the stereo speakers on Mi Max 2 intelligently activate in landscape orientation, transforming it into a mobile theatre with an immersive audio experience.

The device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (Octa-core 2.0GHz) with 14nm FinFET technology, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Available in a gorgeous shade of matte black, Mi Max 2 now features a unibody metal design, that is just 7.6mm at its thinnest point, with rounded edges for better hand-feel, and a rear fingerprint sensor.

Mi Max 2 is powered by a massive 5,300mAh two-day battery, which provides up to 18 hours of video playback, 57 hours of talk-time, or over 31 days on standby. The huge battery means that Mi Max 2 can even charge other smartphones connected to its USB Type-C port. Despite the large capacity, Mi Max 2 is able to charge 68 per cent in one hour as it supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 with parallel charging, which allows fast charging while controlling temperature increase.

In addition, Mi Max 2 features a 12MP Sony IMX386 1.25-micron large-pixel camera sensor for better photos. At the front, is a 5MP front camera, with Beautify mode for great selfies.

Furthermore, MIUI will soon introduce “Split screen”, which allows two applications to run in the foreground, making full use of the large 6.44-inch display.

Starting from Rs.16,999, Mi Max 2 will be available during the 3rd Mi Anniversary special sale on July 20 & 21, from 10 a.m. on Mi.com and Mi Home.

Following this, Mi Max 2 will be available from July 27 across all online and offline partners of Xiaomi, along with mi.com and Mi Home.
