Xender ties up with Samsung for Tizen version of app
Xender Digital has partnered with Samsung to develop a Tizen version of the app Xender. Samsung accounted for 27% market share in India’s mobile handset market in the first quarter of 2017, an increase of 3% from last year.
Xender Tizen will provide an immediate tool to users for near-distance file transfers. Ranked among the Top 3 apps in the Tizen Store, Xender has become one of the most essential tools for Samsung Tizen users. Xender Tizen supports cross-platform transfer and file sharing between Tizen, Android and iOS systems at a speed 200 times that of Bluetooth. The launch of Tizen smartphones by Samsung is expected to play a significant role in further strengthening its position in India.
The official version of Xender Tizen was released on May 8, 2017 and is now available for download in Tizen Apps Store. Xender Tizen acquired over 150,000 downloads within the first two weeks of its release.
Peter Jiang, Founder CEO, Xender, said, “We are delighted to partner with Samsung and provide a fast file-transfer solution for Tizen users. With Samsung being a household name in India, Xender also foresees a rub-off effect in its active user-base. This partnership holds great strategic significance for our company and will further strengthen our leadership in the file-transfer field. We will continue to expand and fortify cooperation with other international brands in the future too.”
