WhatsApp now supports sharing of HD videos
WhatsApp has rolled out the ability to share videos in HD on both Android and iOS. The HD video feature can be toggled on when users are about to share the video with others. Until now, videos on the platform were limited to 480pixels, but now users can enable the 720pixels option.
The method is similar to sharing HD images. Users only need to hit the newly added HD button at the top of the screen after choosing the desired video(s) to share. The choice to share in either Standard Quality or HD Quality, together with information on the respective file sizes, will be presented to you in a dialogue box. The procedure is finished with the typical "send" command, which facilitates the video-sharing process. It's vital to remember that WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption still protects the shared photos and videos.
Videos shared within the app now feature a discreet HD flag that lets recipients know the content was shared in high definition. This acts as an informative marker, enabling receivers to determine whether they have enough storage space or bandwidth to quickly view the high-definition video. The rollout of this functionality is ongoing gradually.
