In a chat with VARINDIA, Harsh Singh Verma, Director, Algort Technosolutions Pvt. Ltd. talks about its value added proposition to customers.

Wireless security has become a main concern for organisations with the increased adoption of Wireless Technology. Instead of working with several vendors Algort Technosolutions was looking for a single vendor who could offer integrated secure wireless solutions. And, the wireless player chose to work with Fortinet as one of its major security vendor.
How are you adding value to customers?
Most of the midsized and small customers start with one solution and add additional solutions as they grow their business. So, it is important to protect the investment of small customers with an architecture that can scale and integrate with other solutions. For example, when a customer deploys a Fortinet Next Generation Firewall, we can then help them build their security architecture by adding secure access, secure SD-WAN, Multi-cloud security, Application security, endpoint protection, SIEM or Sandboxing and also implement policies thanks to a single console for management. With Fortinet we are helping customers build on a single platform, rather than buying solutions from several vendors and running into an issue of managing siloed solutions.

There is an urgent need for skilled IT security talent in the organisations that present a strategic opportunity for us. At Algort, we sell only solutions where we have the expertise to support our customers. The company invests in training for its resources to better design, implement and support solutions. As an example, we have engineers who are certified in Fortinet NSE 5 and NSE 7. In addition, Fortinet provides us with all the required support in terms of deploying the best security architecture to all our customers.
Can you mention some large deployments?
All our customers have 1500+ users and we service several large enterprise customers in our region. There are several we could mention, such as our global deployment for Apollo Tyres who has migrated to Fortinet.
Apollo Tyres was conducting a network security infrastructure upgrade and wanted to consolidate primary firewall capabilities and also wanted to take the opportunity to modernize and utilize advanced security features to enable business in a more secure and controlled way to drive user-based policies and high performance.
We deployed a FortiGate NGFW Enterprise Bundle at their Datacentre as the primary gateway firewall. FortiGate helps reduce latency, while the significantly higher throughput delivers more available bandwidth to their network even when they turn on multiple security technologies like firewall, intrusion prevention and application control.
Fortinet’s centralized management provides Apollo with a single-pane-of-glass control of its network infrastructure from one console. Thanks to FortiGate’s high port density and throughput support, the solution can quickly scale up operations to meet demand growing business demand.

Please elaborate on how Fortinet supports your business
We have trained specialists to educate customers on several technologies, these that are available in the market and these that are emerging and require attention in the near future. We then update customers on competitive technologies and benefits that Fortinet solutions bring in terms of scalability, performance and integration. We arrange a Proof of Concept in live environment for the customer to showcase the performance of the solution. Post implementation we provide extensive training for customers to gain the required expertise to manage the deployed solution.
