"We at Systech IT Solutions offer widespread range of products and services which are available to our customers under one roof"
In a chat with VARINDIA, Archit Jain, Managing Partner, Systech IT Solutions talks about digital transformation, key verticals, growth drivers, services and solutions and much more -
Please give us a little brief about yourself and the company.
I am currently the Managing Partner at Systech IT Solutions and have been a part of this industry for the last 12 years. The company started in the year 2012 with the distribution of PC devices. It has been a decade since we started our business with just five employees and Rs 15 Cr target. We now have over 250 employees, with a turnover of Rs 900 Cr in India.
We started distributing Lenovo devices in the year 2014 as the regional distributors in Bangalore. Within a span of three months we acquired the whole of South Karnataka and as of today which eventually we are the National distributors for Lenovo's PC, accessories and tablet portfolios. Systech IT is not only into IT but also into Consumer Durables, Mobility and Networking.
How was your digital transformation journey and how has it aided your employees and customers?
We live in the era of Digital Transformation, the changes have been so dynamic that anyone and everyone had to adapt to the changes in order to stay relevant. We at Systech IT Solutions have been constantly striving to adapt to these changes. For instance, we have developed an application for our partners in which they can see the entire range of IT products that we have to offer. They can then place the order on our application which is further routed to our warehouse manager and the order is completed without any human intervention. We also provide live tracking of the order status along with real-time inventory updates for the partner, in turn saving a lot of time for our employees and partners.
Lenovo India has also aided us in our digital transformation journey in many ways than one - they have developed an application for the retailers called the Lenovo Evolve App which provides their entire list of product offering along with the pricing. This saves us a lot of time in terms of quoting and promoting the product.
What are the key verticals and drivers of your business growth?
The world is now shifting towards Service delivery and after-sales services and we at Systech IT Solutions are not far behind in this race. Last year was one of the biggest years for us in terms of Service Delivery to our partners and customers, which has been a key pillar of growth for us. Apart from this we also became the largest partner for Lenovo India in the SMB Space clocking a turnover of over Rs 200Cr for FY 21-22. In services alone, we have clocked a turnover of more than Rs 6cr in the last FY. We are also the National Distributors for Lenovo Consumers Products and Tablets which was added in FY 21-22. Due to the widespread demand during the pandemic, we expanded our reach in the market and this has helped us grow our business by more than 30% over the last FY 20-21.
What kind of services and solutions do you provide your customers? Do you see a higher preference for a particular service or solution by them?
We offer a variety of service offerings to our customers. Our primary offerings include, offsite or onsite installation services such as memory or storage upgrades, windows installation, asset tagging, etc. We also provide customized logos on bags or customized laptop stickers. Moreover, we offer imaging solutions, security software, asset management software, SOW-based managed services and asset recovery solutions to the customer. We use Lenovo’s solution portfolio to fulfill these requirements of our customers. We have recently observed an increasing ask on asset recovery and security solutions from the majority of our target audience.
How do you differentiate yourself from your competitors?
We at Systech IT Solutions offer a widespread range of products and services which are available to the customer under one roof. Our customers do not have to reach out to different vendors and partners as we offer them a complete range of products like Notebooks, Desktops, Workstations, Servers, Options, Visuals, Tablets and most importantly all the Services pertaining to these products. We also have the option of providing a RE (Resident Engineer) to our large customers as per their requirement, which gives them seamless support for their day to day IT requirement. This is how we have gradually become the preferred partners for the customers of the Lenovo brand.
We also help execute the Lenovo Leasing Model called (DaaS: Device As A Service) which is an offer for cases where the customers are not very big and are looking for devices on lease. In situations where the customer does not qualify, we try to pitch in to help such customers and execute their requirements.
With the work situation going back to normal, what would your long-term channel strategies be?
With the situation getting back to normal, more and more customers are reaching out to the vendors in the market to fulfill their requirements (Both IT & Non IT). Sytech IT being a strong distribution house in South India, has been expanding its footprint in all the major cities like Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin to build a strong base and cover more partners. This will in turn help increase our channel business in future. We are also in the process of adding more customers to our existing base with the goal to improve our business, profitability and increase customer satisfaction.
