In a chat with VARINDIA, Ronil Mehta, Director – Sales, Magnamious Systems opens up about his journey in the company. Earlier worked for a research organization, Ronil joined Manamious Systems in 2014 and he utilized all his experiences in his family business. He leveraged Digital Marketing to create inbound leads. He is also instrumental in creating the roadmap of brand transformation. He also discusses about the his journey, challenges and future roadmap.
How was your journey in the organisation?
Being a technology Graduate I always had an inclination towards technology. Hence, during my early days of joining Magnamious Systems I was focused on grasping all the possible technology solutions that we offered to our customer. I leveraged various material, online training courses and obviously my father for the same. Gradually I managed to get a hold of the pitching points and USPs of the solutions which helped me reach out to customer. It was this point that I started the sales journey and was able to pull in SME customers in our customer segment. Today, I manage an entire team of BDM, Digital Marketing & ISR.
What are the changes you had bought in the organisation?
I joined Magnamious Systems in 2014 after working in a market research organization with a profile of international sales. In a span of one year, I experienced a lot of international exposure towards the sense of Sales, Business Development and profits. Having an idea of these basic and lucrative points I always felt like using these in our family business and giving it a touch of this experience. Having completed almost six years now I can proudly say that I have been able to establish few great fundamentals and ideas successfully. There are more in pipeline which I wish to transforms quickly. One of the key levers was demand generation using Digital Marketing. I have successfully introduced this arm in the organization which is used to create inbound leads, which the BD folks can drive and close. We have recently transformed our branding in which I played a key contributor in creating the roadmap of brand transformation which consists of announcement of campaigns, collateral adoption, brand manual etc.
What are the major challenges you have faced when you have started your journey?
There are various challenges that any individual would face while joining their family business as a second generation entrepreneur, out of which the foremost is the acceptability and ego of the other employees in the organization towards the new family member. They have a sense of hesitation that the second generation would make them work differently or change their roles. Second challenge is the adoption of new technology or automation introduced by us in the organization.
What are the transformation you want to bring in the organisation and please share the roadmap for one year down the line?
We aspire to get ourselves certified as ISO 27001 which transforms us into a compliant Info Security Vendor which can be leveraged to on board international customers. We are working on a solution with an IP which can give us a great mileage in our industry and provide us a larger exposure to be able to engage with the Top 100 Organizations of the country and eventually expand our footprint in international territories.
