Vodafone offers unlimited manjha, free "kodi" and neck collars for customers in Gujarat

Uttarayan or the Spring Equinox is a much-looked-forward-to festival for Gujaratis, and Vodafone is set to make it a safer and more colourful week for customers.
Between 8th & 13th January, 2018, Vodafone customers walking into Vodafone stores at Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Gandhidham and Mehsana to purchase new connections, will be gifted a “Kodi” of Vodafone-branded kites. All kite-flying Vodafone customers in Ahmedabad and Surat can stay fitted with “Unlimited Manjha” from 10th to 13th January. Two Vodafone-branded vans will be travelling across the length and breadth of these two cities, with Giant Manjha charkhas mounted on them. Vodafone customers will receive periodic SMS updates on the location of the van, so that they can “Recharge their Manjha” firkis while exercising their kite-flying skills.
Urging residents to be safe and enjoy the festival responsibly, Vodafone has also partnered with Radio Mirchi’s “Safety Week” initiative, between 8th & 13th January, 2018. Special Vodafone-branded neck collars will be handed out to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders at key traffic signals in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.
Select Vodafone stores will also distribute 1.5 lakh red wrist bands, highlighting the message of following safety norms during Uttarayan.
Inviting all Vodafone customers in Gujarat to join in the Uttarayan week celebrations, Abhijit Kishore, Business Head – Gujarat, Vodafone India, said, “The festival of Uttarayan is an integral part of Gujarat’s cultural heritage and kite flying is synonymous with Uttarayan. As the No. 1 telecom choice of Gujaratis, Vodafone keeps our valued customers in urban and rural Gujarat connected 24x7. This Uttarayan, Vodafone is taking the lead to delight our customers with free Vodafone Kites and Unlimited Manjha to keep the kite and its flyer connected. While enjoying these fun offerings, Vodafone also requests all residents of Gujarat to stay protected from ‘Manjha’ injuries by using the Vodafone neck collars being distributed this week, free of cost.”
