Vodafone Launches SuperNet 4G services in Alipurduar, Purulia, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar
With the launch of SuperNet 4G services in 4 districts of West Bengal - Alipurduar, Purulia, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar, Vodafone India has now completed covering all the major towns in Bengal.
The launch in these four districts follows the successful launch of Vodafone SuperNet 4G services in Siliguri, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Behrampur, Bashirhat, Nabadwip, Bardhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur, Krishnanagar, Midnapore, Kharagpur, Alipurduar and Purulia in Bengal.
4G services in the rest of the cities in Bengal Circle will be rolled out over the next few months.
Built on the efficient 1,800 MHz band, this state-of-the-art network will enable Vodafone SuperNet 4G customers to access Internet via mobile with speeds across a range of smart devices including Mi-Fi and dongles. Vodafone 4G services can be readily accessed from 4G enabled handsets, offered by leading smartphone manufacturers and available across the country.
Vodafone SuperNet 4G will significantly enhance the mobile internet experience for customers with faster download/upload of videos and music, seamless video chats and will also facilitate greater ease in using their favourite apps. Customers will also adore features like high definition video streaming, mobile gaming and two-way video calling.
Vodafone SuperNet 4G services in West Bengal is built on a strong fibre backhaul and is supported by its superfast 3G services on a new and modern network. With this launch, Vodafone is now uniquely positioned to offer in West Bengal, 2G/3G/4G services on its own state of the art, convergent radio technology.
Following the successful launch of its Vodafone SuperNet 4G services across nine circles, Vodafone India also announced that it will soon make the world’s largest 4G network available in 2,400 towns and across 8 additional circles in the country over the next few months.
Speaking on the Vodafone SuperNet 4G proposition for Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar, Arvinder Singh Sachdev, business head – West Bengal, Vodafone India said, “West Bengal is a strong leadership market for Vodafone India and as the leading telecom service provider, our over 18 million customers have a lot to look forward to. We are proud to have achieved a great feat of launching our SuperNet 4G services in 4 major cities in a short span of 10 days. With this we have covered all the major towns in the circle.”
“Beginning with key business and residential corridors of Siliguri, currently we have our Vodafone SuperNet 4G services in 17 towns in the circle and will keep on expanding the services across the entire circle in a phased manner,” added Sachdev.
