Vodafone announces Dangal Tournament in Rewari

Vodafone has announced the state’s first-ever pan-state Dangal tournament. Mohit Narru, Business Head – Haryana, Vodafone India, formally announced the commencement of Vodafone “Dangal” in Rewari on 13th April, 2017, in the presence of Shri Kushal Kataria, SDM, Rewari.
For the residents of Haryana, Wrestling is much more than just a sport – it is a matter of pride and passion. Little wonder that Wrestling has from inception seen the highest representation from Haryana. Vodafone has taken the lead to present the pan-Haryana Vodafone “Dangal” competition is being organized with the objective of promoting local wrestling talent and giving them a platform to compete and win recognition. Commencing with village-level rounds, Vodafone “Dangal” will move on to a state-level finale, in a phased manner.
The opening tournament in Rewari brought wrestlers from popular local Akharas, including Jhajjar, Sonipat, Sohna and Palwal.
