Veeam ropes in Ashok Acharya as Regional Director for India and SAARC

Veeam Software has appointed Ashok Acharya as the new Regional Director for India and SAARC region. Ashok Acharya will be responsible for driving overall business strategy, expanding solutions offerings to existing and new customers and further strengthening the strategic channel partnerships to consolidate growth.
Gregg Petersen, Regional Director, MEA, Veeam, said, “Ashok’s appointment highlights Veeam’s continued strategy to strengthen the highly experienced leadership team, and showcase our commitment in the market. Earlier this year, we had expanded our operations in India by setting up three offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, and now with Ashok’s knowledge of the market and recognition of the growth drivers for success in India, he will help take Veeam to the next level of growth.”
Acharya will continue to drive strong growth momentum for customers in India, who are looking to leverage opportunities in digital transformation. In an already-competitive market, Veeam will continue to provide Availability solutions via ProPartners to enterprise and mid-market customers to create new opportunities, and increase profitability.
Acharya will be based in Bangalore and will report to Gregg Petersen, Regional Director, Middle East, Africa and SAARC.

Acharya brings with him rich experience spanning more than 18 years in enterprise technology. Prior to joining Veeam, he was most recently associated with Infoblox Inc. as Country Manager for India and SAARC region. In this capacity, Acharya played a significant role in driving the entire business strategy and revenue across established and new emerging markets in the region.
