Truecaller brings in a Web option for Indian Android users
With the release of Truecaller for Web, Indian Android users can now handle their calls and messages from their desktop computers. Users can easily communicate, check their SMS inbox, and recognize unknown calls.
In its initial phase, Truecaller for Web is available exclusively for Android users in India. However, the company has expressed plans for broader regional and platform expansion in the near future. Truecaller for Web is compatible with all popular browsers, ensuring access from PCs and Macs alike.
Truecaller is promising to revolutionize communication convenience with the introduction of Truecaller for Web. This innovative web platform eliminates the constant phone-to-computer switch, allowing Android users in India (with plans for global expansion) to seamlessly manage calls and messages directly from their desktops.
To Activate Truecaller For Web
● On your Android device, open the Truecaller app and navigate to the "Messages" tab.
● Tap the three dots located in the top right corner of the screen.
● Select "Messaging for Web" from the menu options.
● Visit web.truecaller.com on your desktop browser.
● Follow the on-screen instructions to link your devices using a QR code.
● With these simple steps, Android and desktop will be seamlessly connected, allowing users to enjoy the convenience of Truecaller's features on a larger screen.
“Truecaller for Web is a new addition that allows for a seamless way to stay connected across your phone and computer. Our solution integrates well with the lifestyle of modern users, empowering them to effortlessly search for unknown numbers, streamline their workflow and easily switch between devices. Just like on the mobile app, Truecaller does not access or read any messages and the link between the app and desktop client is always encrypted. We want to stay true to our commitment of elevating the communication experience while ensuring accessibility and safety across each interaction," said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Chief Product Officer and Managing Director India at Truecaller.
