Top 10 blockchain influencers on Twitter during Q1 2020
An analysis of GlobalData’s Blockchain Influencer Network Platform, which tracks more than 200 leading industry experts and their discussions pertaining to the emerging trends, pain areas, new fields of innovation and other popular areas on Twitter, has identified Ryan Selkis, founder and CEO at Messari, as the top influencer on blockchain topic during the first quarter (Q1) of 2020.
Adam Back, the co-founder of blockchain technology company Blockstream, was ranked second among blockchain experts with an influencer score of 91, followed by Steven McKie, founding partner at Amentum, with an influencer score 91.
‘Bitcoin’ emerged as the most discussed trend among influencers, followed by ‘cryptocurrency’ and ‘fintech’. The conversations related to Bitcoin were largely led by the fact that India’s Supreme Court lifted the ban on trading in cryptocurrency and legalized the exchange of Crypto and Bitcoin in the country, drawing global corporations for investments in Indian cryptocurrency start-ups.
Among companies, ‘Coinbase’ emerged as the most mentioned company among influencer conversations, followed by Blockstream and Microsoft. The discussions on Coinbase were largely led by the fact that the coinbase card is now compatible with Google Pay, which makes Coinbase the first company to enable mobile payments with crypto.
