Thermaltake Smart Power Management (SPM) platform...
Thermaltake is raising awareness on global warming issues to all PC DIY/ PC users through its Smart Power Management (SPM) platform. SPM is a cloud computing platform that tracks and analyzes PC electricity consumption, allows user to observe and learn their own energy consumption whereby alter their behaviour to achieve the goal of reducing CO2 emission together to contribute on slowing global warming.
Users are capable of analyzing their energy usage and achieving CO2 emission reduction via the SPM, therefore saving electricity costs. Moreover, it will be easier with an example like when parents will notice that their kids are playing games during their prep time, parents can switch off the computer when they are away from home by using the SPM app via mobile phones. And verse visa, the SPM can be a great tool to be used in the enterprises, for the MIS or visual designers, engineers to know the status of the staff’s computer status.
Thermaltake has enhanced the service platform with the addition of two new features - Energy Saving Plan and Voltage Alert. The platform enables users to assess the environmental friendliness of their systems, track energy usage, and receive fan failure alerts when overheating occurs.
* With the Energy Saving Plan, users can set a wattage consumption goal for a selected time period to further reduce power costs. Users can also receive push notification on the daily wattage consumption via a mobile app or email anytime and anywhere.
* The other new enhancement to the SPM Platform is the Voltage Alert, which automatically sends a warning message to users via the DPS G APP 2.0, DPS G Mobile APP 1.0, and DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0 when the voltage is at an abnormal level. This minimizes the risk of damage to internal components, and helps PC systems become more reliable and efficient.
Thermaltake has furthermore taken PC security protection a step further by releasing the PC Off Remote Control. This newly added function of the Smart Power Management (SPM) Platform is applied to all series of the Toughpower DPS G Power Supply. PC Off Remote Control aims to minimize the risk of damage to internal components, and help PC systems become more reliable and efficient.
Through the PC Off Remote Control, when the DPS G PC APP detects any abnormality from the PSU, a warning alert will be automatically sent to users via the DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud Web and DPS G Mobile APP. After receiving the message, users can immediately turn off or reboot their PC through the SPM Cloud Web or the Mobile APP on their mobile devices anywhere. To save the energy and electricity cost, PC Off Remote Control also allows users to remotely schedule a shutdown for their system either through the SPM Cloud Web or the Mobile APP.
