The Government rolls out G20 India mobile app
For the upcoming G20 Summit in New Delhi, the government unveiled the G20 India Mobile App, a comprehensive digital platform. The summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi from September 9-10
The app provides users a comprehensive, interactive guide to event-related information. From the schedule of the G20 India 2023 event to resources, media, and post-event details, the mobile app will provide a variety of information.
The app, which is accessible to iPhone and Android users, offers multilingual help in five UN languages. Apart from multiple languages, it also offers UPI and navigation features. The navigation facility in the app will help delegates move from one place to another at Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the event, and in the country.
As per officials of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, over 15,000 G20 India apps had already been downloaded globally.
However, it should be noted that the mobile app will function till the end of India's G20 presidency, which ends with the closure of the event on September 10.
After the launch of the app, PM Modi advised all the ministers to download it.
The advice came during Modi's interaction with the Council of Ministers. The PM said that the app would help the ministers interact with foreign delegates seamlessly.
