'ThankYou Rohit Shetty', says Mumbai Police
Amid pandemic and nationwide lockdown, everyone is doing his bit for the country. After Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Sonu Sood etc., now action director Rohit Shetty has joined the group. Rohit Shetty has donated Rs 51 lakh to Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) for the daily wage earners in the entertainment industry.
Apart from that, the ace director has also extended his support to the families for the paparazzi photographers by directly sending out payments to their respective bank accounts. And now Shetty has pledged to help the on-duty coronavirus warriors that are the police officials.
Rohit Shetty has facilitated eight hotels for the officers of the Mumbai Police, who are working in the midst of the lockdown. The policemen will be provided with breakfast and dinner, and will also be allowed to rest and take showers in these hotels.
Thanking the Bollywood director for his noble deed, Mumbai Police tweeted, "#Rohit Shetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for our on-duty #CovidWarriors to rest, shower & change with arrangements for breakfast & dinner. We thank him for this kind gesture and for helping us in #TakingOnCorona and keeping Mumbai safe."
