Telit earns Zigbee Pro and Smart Energy Certification

Telit has announced the achievement of Zigbee PRO and Smart Energy software certification. Telit's in-house-developed software stack received certification for full compliance to standard version 1.1 for device classes Home Display and Energy Service Interface. In addition, the certified ZigBee PRO protocol stack provides a ZigBee Compliant Platform (ZCP), enabling users to quickly and easily develop products that can achieve ZigBee Certified Product status.

ZigBee devices provide two-way communication and data transmission while not being subject to recurring air-time charges within the local environment as in the case of cellular wireless data. Achieving this certification indicates that the Telit stack was found to be fully compliant to specifications from the ZigBee Alliance. It also means that the company's products based on it can be integrated into Smart Meters or Smart Home panels and devices being tendered in projects required to comply with these standards as are most of the larger-scale government- driven initiatives worldwide.
