In a chat with VARINDIA, Prashanth GJ, Co-Founder and CEO, TechnoBind shares his views on the current cyber security market in India, its growth potential, the reason behind choosing  Seclore etc. TechnoBind along with Seclore’s data centric security platform is committed to enable enterprises to pick the best of breed data centric security technologies.

 

The CyberSecurity market in India
The global cybersecurity market is exploding and is expected to reach USD 352.25 billion by 2026 while the India market will cross the USD 10 billion mark this year. The challenges around managing the data is becoming bigger and there are dimensions to cyber security cases.  


According to Prashanth, “The patterns we see in security are, in most cases, not very different from other technology spaces i.e.


1. A significant move to solutions being provisioned in the cloud
2. Increasing focus on AI/ML and automation
3. A resource crunch in the skills market with rising wages
4. Increased focus on local and global compliance regulations
5. Increasing focus on data as the focal point of security initiatives as enterprise IT infrastructure like devices, applications and networks move outside of the control of enterprises


Security of data in the un-governed cloud continues to drive the highest demand for security and compliance solutions.Compliance regulations focusing on privacy and security have started to get more punitive and with the Government of India introducing the Data Protection Bill, organizations are now forced to proactively think about adopting data security solutions. Enterprise security budgets are moving from infrastructure security to data protection which has opened many opportunities in this space.”



Cybersecurity business and its growth potential  
At Technobind, they are betting on the trend that the only way to secure data will be to secure the data itself. They believe that no amount of security in the network, application or device will guarantee the security of data and thus network, application and device security technologies will become “necessary but not sufficient”.

We have partnered with Thales, Beyond Trust, Sonic Wall, Eset, Colortokens etc. In the data security space we see a clear synergy with Seclore. These are specialist partners who are well equipped to support new age data security solutions offered by various vendors. Every quarter we are looking at increasing more and more partners relevant to this business. We also keep strengthening their skill sets by having regular training and enablement sessions for them.


2. Along with the partner ecosystem we ourselves have invested heavily on training & enablement of the resources. Today we have more than 30 trained resources for data security business.


3. Last, but not the least, we have created partnerships with product vendors focused on data security and regularly engage in enablement, certification and marketing activities with them.



Over the last two years, data security has become easier and easier to sell and deploy.  The strategy is to lead with the use cases/regulatory compliance (if any) and demonstrate the pitch to the channel partners so that they can replicate the same with their customers.



We are successfully moving ahead and gaining market share in this field as we have a clear vision and a strategy to execute this on the ground".
