TAIT members meet to discuss FAIITA proposal
The meeting concluded that TAIT will reaffirm its stand to support proposed refrain from purchase from 15th December 2014 and will commit to show solidarity on the issue with the fellow IT associations across the country. It was also opined by the advisory members that Debit note will not be raised on T1 Channel Partners (National Distributors) by the T2 (Sub distributors, Regional distributors) / T3 & T4 (Dealers, System Integrators, Retailers) on the price disparity of their stocks.
There will also be efforts to convince T1 Channel Partners to take back their unsold stocks by OEM/Vendor due to these concerns. The companies from which purchase will be refrained are Apple, Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Canon, D-Link, Ricoh, Epson, Brother, Samsung, A DATA, IOMega, Seagate, WD, Hitachi, SanDisk, Transcend, Kingston, BenQ, LG, Viewsonic, AOC, Logitech, iBall, Intex, F&D, TPLINK, Netgear, Sennheiser, Cooler Master, Sony, Digilink and Portronics. The members are also advised to share the names of OEM/Vendors that have predatory pricing issue for their products through e-commerce portals.
TAIT members who are the Sub-Distributors, Regional Distributors are advised to defer their payments to National Distributors. A discussion with National Distributors led by Parag Shah and Pravin Dhoka will soon be followed.
