Sushant Singh Rajput: A rising star sets down
Sushant Singh, one of the talented of the lot who came from a non filmy background finally ended his chapter on Sunday. The actor was found hanging in his Bandra flat's bedroom.
The actual reason is still unknown. While searching for any suicide note, that is not yet found, a wish list written by him was got. The actor had the following on this wish list: 'Learn how to fly a plane', 'Help train women in self-defense', 'Write a book' and 'Teach coding to visually-impaired were among the few he had mentioned on the list. The actor had shared the list in September 2019.
The 34- year old actor shot to fame with daily soap ‘Pavitra Rishta’ where he played Maanav. The actor soon became the boy-next door types for many households.
Rajput debuted in Kai Po Che (2013), which won him Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He was next seen in rom-com Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and as the titular detective in the action thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy (2015). His highest-grossing releases came with a supporting role in the satire PK (2014), followed by the titular role in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). For his performance in the latter, he received his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Rajput was seen in the commercially successful films Kedarnath (2018) and Chhichhore (2019). He was set to essay 12 real-life characters, including political strategist Chanakya, poet Rabindranath Tagore and former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam, in a biopic series on Stories of India
Born in Patna, Rajput studied engineering and was a National Olympiad Winner in Physics. His passion for acting made him drop out of his 5 years course and pushed him towards the entertainment world. He first faced the camera with daily soap, “Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil”, and after that there was no looking back for him.
A philanthropist by heart, it is heard that Rajput had donated Rs 1 cr on behalf of his fan who had wished to donate something but had no money. Back in 2018, the actor had donated Rs 1 crore to help Keralites who reeled under the century's worst-ever floods.
The news about Rajput’s death left the whole country mourning. PM Narendra Modi took to his twitter handle and poured his condolences.
Sushant Singh Rajput…a bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti.

Also Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray tweeted on Rajput’s death. The Bollywood, Sports fraternity too penned their condolences over the news.
