Sushant Dash Appointed As The CEO Of Starbucks India
Coffeehouse chain Starbucks which is owned by the Tatas in India announced the appointment of Sushant Dash as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the premium coffee brand in India. The appointment will be effective from May 1.
Sushant is graduated from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics. Dash was part of the core team introducing the first Tata Starbucks store in India and was directly responsible for the strategy and marketing of the Starbucks brand. The premium coffee chain currently operates over 215 stores across 17 cities in the country.
Dash has spent 20 years with Tata. He was part of the team that opened the first Starbucks store in India in 2012. He was directly responsible for the strategy and marketing of the Starbucks brand in the country.
Sushant will take over the position as the CEO starting from 1st May by replacing Navin Gurnaney, who will be stepping down from his position. This will make him the fourth CEO of the global coffee retailer in India since it has been launched in October 2012.
