State government grants VRS wish of IPS officer Triveni Singh

The voluntary retirement system (VRS) of IPS officer Triveni Singh, popularly known as ‘cybercop’ has been approved by the state government, the senior home department officials said to a news source.
Singh, a 1994 batch Provincial Police Service (PPS) officer, was promoted to IPS cadre in 2011. He held the position of SP in the cybercrime cell of UP Police.
His retirement was due in November 2025.
He served as SP in Auraiya, Azamgarh and STF along with other state police wings including vigilance. As per sources, Singh cited health reasons and had applied for VRS in January 2023. He is an expert in handling financial and banking cyber frauds.
