Sriraman Jagannathan to join WhatsApp Pay
Carrier of Jagannathan being recognised earlier by IDFC Bank as its chief digital and data officer,also worked with Citibank. As a data officer he must had excelled in his profile , after he has proved in setting up and launching Airtel money nationally and joined Amazon in January 2016 in Bengaluru.
An alumnus of IIT-Delhi and IIM-Ahmedabad, With his recent resignation from Amazon India as the vice-president for personal/family reasons. Jagannathan was heading financial services portfolio. Post departure of Jagannathan Mahendra Nerurkar, took over as Amazon Pay chief executive earlier this year will lead the financial services.
WhatsApp, which is desperately looking for India’s head has been in talks with Jagannathan to lead its UPI-based payments operations in the country. Jagannathan is also slated to meet WhatsApp CEO Chris Daniel who is currently on a five-day tour to India.
