Solair and Wi-Next join hands for Industrial IoT
Solair and Wi-Next have announced signing an agreement aimed at strengthening their ability to offer Internet of Things applications, especially in the industrial sector.
Tom Davis, CEO, Solair, said, “Our proposal consists of giving a new meaning and value to the Internet of Things, which goes beyond connecting devices and collecting data: integrating the data collected into the business. This type of approach gives significant added value to daily activities and expands the possibilities that the Internet of Things has given us so far because it is the missing link that can enter the data from devices into the business processes. With Wi-Next we have been in perfect harmony right from the start and we formed this important partnership to offer a complete solution that takes the Internet of Things to the next level.”
“All the main market studies say that 2014 will be the year of the Internet of Things and that it will be a huge opportunity to revive the IT market and IT in general. With Solair, we have found an excellent partner given that their Cloud Application platform makes it easy to process and use large amounts of data for our clients,” declared Nicola De Carne, CEO, Wi-Next.
With this alliance, both the companies aim to offer the market one of the first complete solutions for real-time monitoring of mechanical equipment through the use of a network of low-power Wi-Fi sensors controlled by a cloud-based application which manages the Product Life Management of the equipment itself.
