Social Media becoming an add-on to Indian Politics

A recent survey on urban Indian voters spread conducted revealed that, with the advent of new- age media, the way companies communicate with their customers has drastically changed. As a matter of fact, social media has moved a step further and has become an important tool in addressing issues and concerns faced by the people regularly. Businesses have started taking the medium seriously and have allocated specific budgets for social media.  Interacting with consumers on a digital platform is becoming essential for all companies.
 
The survey also states that young Indians believe that social media will play a big role in the next elections. Furthermore, a majority of the respondents believe that the virtual platform will play a key role in building public perceptions about politics and politicians.
 
Today, the new-age media is changing the communication pattern in all sectors, including politics. The political parties now understand the importance of this medium in communicating with the masses. Many parties have started adopting the social media to a big extent.
 
Furthermore, the party men of political parties have been asked to take social media seriously and treat it as an important tool to communicate with a vast number of citizens.
 
Political parties have also started using mobile marketing to a big extent due to characteristics such as cost-effectiveness, personalized messages and targeted marketing.
