Securonix looking forward to bring solutions to secure cloud and complex enterprise environment

Securonix is a provider of next generation security analytics and operations management platform for the modern era of big data and advanced cyber threats. It collaborates closely with the customers to understand and provide sustainable value to their business in order to ensure both immediate and ongoing success. It connects with its customers and partners to develop the best in breed solution to combat advanced threats. In a chat with VARINDIA, Harshil Doshi, Director Sales (India and SAARC), Securonix describes about the current security trends in India, their latest security technologies, future roadmap for 2022 etc.
The key security trends
Talking about the key security trends in India Harshil points out that data security and protection is a never-ending parameter of concern in the IT industry. He remarks, “Below are some trends to consider as we develop our strategy to protect the IT environment from rapidly evolving threats this year:
· Increase in Ransomware Attacks: Ransomware attacks are expected to reappear in business networks around the world in 2022, according to cybersecurity experts. As businesses continue to work remotely and we live in a hyper connected world, ransomware will continue to be a destructive threat because of the increased vulnerability. Managing and protecting data will be of utmost priority for businesses, industries and the government.
· Increased adoption of cloud security: Cloud security will rise to the top of the priority list, particularly for organizations pursuing remote and hybrid workplace strategies. Cloud security posture management will become a top priority for security leaders as companies continue to ramp up cloud adoption in 2022.
· Endpoint Security: With the work from home trend, enterprises are adopting an approach to cybersecurity that focuses on endpoints such as laptops, mobile devices, etc. - anything that connects to the switch. In such a scenario, extended detection and response (XDR) capabilities will become more widespread and robust, while traditional cybersecurity solutions such as security information and event management (SIEM) systems will increasingly use AI for security orchestration, automation and response.
· Single source for several cybersecurity solutions: In the coming year and beyond, businesses are expected to consolidate and seek suppliers who can serve as one-stop shops for multiple cloud-delivered security products in 2022. According to a study, by 2024, 30% of businesses will use the same provider for cloud-delivered secure web gateway, zero-trust network access, firewall as a service, and cloud access security brokers.”
Leveraging the latest security technologies
Securonix, built on big data architecture, provides Next-Gen SIEM, UEBA, SOAR, Open XDR, Security Data Lake, and vertical-specific applications as a pure SaaS solution with unlimited scalability and no infrastructure costs to its customers.
Harshil goes on saying, “Keeping the COVID-19 situation in mind, we are constantly pushing ourselves to provide our customers with reliable threat detection and response solutions, which are cloud-native, and are helping them to capitalize the various advantages that cloud offers. Dynamic scalability, control, and operational efficiencies are a few examples of how security operators and business leaders can meet their priorities while also allowing for cost management when business dynamics change.”
Remote working and Securonix
The pandemic brought a host of new uncertainties and vulnerabilities with it. Businesses all over the world were seriously impacted due to the rise in advanced cyber attacks and they continue to be vulnerable. Working remotely could mean the use of unsecured devices, sharing or compromising of credentials, and accessing critical applications over unsecured external networks. This host of inconsistent behavioral attributes raise the possibility of opening-up exploits, compromising system integrity, which could result in sensitive data leakage.
Harshil says, “To assist our customers and community with these challenges, we collaborated with partners like LTI to develop solutions to monitor and mitigate cyber threats effectively and ultimately create a secure work environment. We also set up a ‘COVID-19 Work from Home’ task force that gave threat advisories to warn organizations of possible threats rising from the pandemic.”
Future Roadmap for 2022
Speaking about the future endeavors, Harshil comments, “2022 is a year of growth for us. We recently raised $1 Billion+ growth funding from Vista Equity Partners. The investment gives Securonix the capital and expertise to continue its hyper growth trajectory while meeting record customer demand, further validating its leadership position in cloud-native security analytics and operations.”
“We are continuously driven by technology innovation and a passionate mission to address the cybersecurity challenges faced by organizations globally. We solve a very tough problem that requires excellence across multiple domains, including product engineering, threat detection/hunting, data science, and operations. This year, we will look forward to invest in these areas and continue to provide a world-class service to our customers,” continues Harshil.
To conclude
In his concluding lines Harshil is hopeful about their partnership with LTI and says, “In a bid to strengthen our cybersecurity offerings, we partnered with Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) along with Snowflake, a leader in secure cloud workloads. The partnership will power LTI’s Active eXtended Detection and Response platform (Active XDR) for early detection of internal and external threats, contextualizing and combating threats with advanced intelligence-led hunting operations, and automating incident response time.”
“This partnership will significantly reduce the costs and complexity of scaling advanced threat detection and response services across multiple customer environments. We look forward to bringing additional solutions to market with LTI that more effectively secure today's cloud and complex enterprise environment,” concludes Harshil.
