Schneider Electric with Tricolite Electrical Industries launch Premset, switchgears

Schneider Electric is all set with their license partner Tricolite Electrical Industries for their new generation MV switchgears Premset. Under this partnership agreement, Tricolite will engineer, assemble, test, market and sell the product using the technological know-how and innovation of Schneider Electric.
Ponniah Sankarakumar, Director, Power Systems, Schneider Electric India, said, “We value our association with Tricolite Electrical Industries Ltd. This partnership model of Schneider Electric re-affirms our commitment towards the ‘Make in India’ initiative. It not only allows Schneider Electric to deploy our technological excellence but also to bring the best-in-class products extensively across India, leveraging Tricolite’s business priorities and expertise.”
Being safe, reliable, flexible, efficient and very aesthetic, Premset is ideal for data centres, large buildings (hospitals, hotels, educational or office campuses), medium industries, and Utility distribution stations or e-Houses in crowded areas. With footprint reduction by about 50% when compared with the traditional switchgear, it reduces the civil cost and offers opportunity for additional revenue generation using the saved space
Premset is the safest as the internal arc is drastically reduced. Extremely reliable and compact, this switchgear has the ability to withstand harsh environments and offer a 30 % extended lifetime. Consequently, Premset is suited for tunnels and mines.
Premset has successfully been tested, submerged underwater for a short time, and it is the best choice for coastal areas or floodplains. Restoring power supply after a deluge is not at all problematic with Premset in the system.
Meera Chauhan, CEO and Managing Director, Tricolite Electrical Industries Ltd says, “We are excited to be the only Go-to-Market partner across India for Premset. With shared values of customer-centric innovations, safety and reliability, we aim to bring the most reliable and safest distribution solutions compliant to the latest standards. We look forward to being a part of this global green and digital revolution together with Schneider Electric”.
Schneider Electric has more than 100 licensee partners across the globe, with products in both the Medium Voltage as well as Low voltage segment being supplied to the market through such partners. Schneider Electric initiated the licensee partner model in India as a strategic move to expand its Customer base by strengthening the partner community
