Schneider Electric with Stratus and Avnet to develop industrial Edge micro data centers
Schneider Electric is developing micro data center modules for the Edge in partnership with Stratus Technologies and Avnet Integrated. The companies have jointly developed the 'EcoStruxure Micro Data Center with Stratus ftServer,’. The data center modules are pre-engineered and factory assembled to customer requirements by global technology distributor and solutions provider, Avnet.
The Stratus ftServer includes two servers managed as one, with the platform consisting of hardware and software.
"The EcoStruxure Micro Data Center with Stratus ftServer delivers the reliability, efficiency, rugged protection, and zero-touch operation required by the automation industry," said Greg Hookings, director of business development EMEA at Stratus Technologies.
The EcoStruxure Micro Data Center with Stratus ftServer is available in 6U, 12U or 42U and will be pre-loaded with software, including Schneider's Aveva system platform.
