Schneider Electric organizes Industry 4.0 event for Partners in Ranchi
Schneider Electric hosted a day-long seminar for its partners and customers in Ranchi, with an aim to explore, discuss the ongoing digitization trends for higher efficiency and sustainability. During the event, Schneider Electric highlighted various aspects of industry 4.0 that are driven by IIOT. It also presented EcoStruxure, its digital architecture to its audience. EcoStruxure is Schneider Electric’s open, interoperable, IoT-enabled system architecture and platform that delivers enhanced value around safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity for our customers.
The initiative was undertaken to share the opportunities and trends associated with digitization amongst large industries, highlighting the need to “Do More with Less”, that is, lesser utilization of natural resources, lesser consumption of power, and utilizing lesser space, while improving productivity. During the event, the company also showcased its automation and power gear and power quality products that enable enterprises to become more efficient.
Sunil Kumar Singh, Director – Metal, Mineral and Mining segment, Schneider Electric India, welcomed the guests and shared the importance of digital transformation in industrial automation.

IIoT enables workforce to make smarter, faster, and more efficient real-time business decisions. With implementation of IIoT, a wide range of sensors will be installed in plants and machines and these will be connected to systems that control various manufacturing processes and functions like temperature, pressure, Vibrations. These connected sensors will not only quickly improve process efficiency but the data points produced by IIoT can also be used to keep a check on other important business variables.
