SAP lines up Updated Solutions with “Industry 4.0”

In order to steer the manufacturing process with "Industry 4.0" innovation, SAP AG has released new manufacturing solutions and updates for existing solutions covering engineering, manufacturing and sustainable operations at Hannover Messe 2013.

This fourth industrial revolution, called Industry 4.0, may bring industrial manufacturing and next-generation IT together to create a new level of efficiency.

SAP is adapting Industry 4.0 principles through the development of "Idea to Performance" which helps to incorporate new and existing solutions by SAP Business Suite software powered by the SAP HANA platform. This approach will enable full management of a product’s entire life cycle from design to service within distinct scenarios.

These releases of the SAP solution such as SAP Manufacturing Execution application, the SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) application and SAP Plant Connectivity software, will provide efficient manufacturing execution and visibility into shopfloor operations.

The SAP Rapid Deployment solutions are expected to deliver preconfigured software and implementation services in one package, enabling customers to realize specialized business benefits within a shortened timeframe while laying the foundation for future expansion.
