Samsung reinforces Smartphone Portfolio
Samsung has expanded its Dual SIM smartphone portfolio with the launch of the GALAXY S -Duos (GT-S7562) and GALAXY Y -Duos Lite (GT-S5302). Powered with a 1GHz CPU processor speed and based on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, the GALAXY S Duos comes preloaded with ChatOn messenger and a host of applications like “My Music”, “My Movies” and “Handy”.
Samsung GALAXY Y Duos Lite is powered with 832 MHz processor and based on the Android Ginger Bread OS and Wi-Fi b/g/n. The device supports all the latest Google Mobile SVCs and Applications with Gingerbread OS.
AsimWarsi, VP, Samsung Mobile, stated, “With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S Duos and Galaxy Y Duos Lite, we are seeking to democratize the Smartphone market in India.” The Dual-SIM segment today contributes more than 50% of the total Mobile Volume sales in the country.
