Samsung Galaxy Fold screen may not bring a great success
Samsung's first foldable phone after much anticipation The unusual folding smartphone is packed with the latest tech, including the most powerful new 7nm processors, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage and you probably won’t forget the first time you unfold the 7.3-inch Infinity Flex ,with Dynamic AMOLED display has a resolution of 2,152 × 1,536 pixels, while the smaller Super AMOLED 4.6-inch display has a resolution of 1,680 x 720 pixels, with six cameras, two displays, and an all-new folding screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally to out on April 25, and this foldable smartphone has almost found its way to consumer hands, and we couldn’t be more excited, reason being ,the first have complained that their phone’s display has either completely broken or is partially damaged after just days of use.Of course,it is not a affordable phone, since the price is $1,980. The phone comes in four colors: Cosmos Black, Space Silver, Martian Green, or Astro Blue, and you can choose a different color for the phone’s spine.
As per samsung, the fold is comprised of a sophisticated hinge system with multiple interlocking gears, hidden inside the spine. That fold is tested using a series of machines that repeatedly fold and unfold the phone. Samsung says, that stress test folds a device 200,000 times, and takes around a week to complete.
A review by the blogger says, It’s a distressing thing to discover just two days after receiving my review unit. More distressing is that the bulge eventually pressed sharply enough into the screen to break it. You can see the telltale lines of a broken OLED converging on the spot where the bulge is.
Whatever happened, it certainly wasn’t because I have treated this phone badly. I’ve done normal phone stuff, like opening and closing the hinge and putting it in my pocket. We did stick a tiny piece of molding clay on the back of the phone yesterday to prop it up for a video shoot, which is something we do in every phone video shoot. So perhaps a tiny piece of that snuck into a gap on the back of the hinge and then around or through its cogs until it lodged in between the screen and the hinge. It’d be sort of like Charlie Chaplin getting caught in the gears in Modern Times.
I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED; I JUST KNOW THE SCREEN IS BROKEN
Then, he has reached out to Samsung right away to get a statement, but it took about 24 hours for the company to put one together. Here it is, and the gist is that Samsung is looking into our unit and also warning users not to try to peel off the protective layer on the top of the screen.
Also, I have, however, received a replacement review unit from Samsung. I think the first one is on a jet to South Korea for Samsung’s engineers to take apart and diagnose. The blogger further says, it appears I’m not the only reviewing the phone who has had a problem with the screen. There any many like me have faced the same problem. The fact that appears to be a screen protector on the Galaxy Fold's display. It's NOT a screen protector. Do NOT remove it.
Pre-orders for the £1,800 ($1,980, €2,000) Samsung Galaxy Fold will go live on Friday April 26, 2019 before the pliable handset hits shelves worldwide on May 3, 2019.
