RoboChamps brings online Robotics and Coding courses in English and vernacular languages

RoboChamps has launched online courses in Robotics and Coding in English, Hindi and other vernacular languages. The company has decided to enter into the Vernacular segment owing to a sudden surge in the number of enquiries from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India post the launch of its English online courses.
From classrooms to smart devices, the medium of education and learning in India has gone through a paradigm shift. Currently, India is the second largest market for e-learning after the US. India's higher education system is the largest in the world, enrolling over 70 million students in less than two decades. According to a recent report by KPMG and Google, the Indian EdTech market is pegged to touch $1.96 billion by 2021. Even though top Indian cities get a decent amount of exposure to new age education tools, Tier II and Tier III cities fall way behind in the evolving education space.
With the company’s courses in Hindi and other vernacular languages it aims to introduce children in the semi-urban and rural areas to AI education along with Hands-On Learning Experience. Targeting the age group of 6 to 17, the startup aims to infuse robotics-based learning in the Indian education curriculum.
The startup plans to contribute 20 percent of the revenues to PM Care Trust for fighting against the pandemic together. It is also offering all its courses for free to children of frontline staff to help them achieve their dreams. The brand actively takes part in contributing to social causes and has been educating children in slums to help them build a career in technology related fields.
Akshay Ahuja, CEO & Founder, RoboChamps says, “There are 530 million internet users in India out of which 300 million users are from urban cities. With 450 million Hindi speakers in India, it is twice as big a market as our country’s 220 million English speakers. Looking at the current pandemic situation, we have shifted our focus on educating students from the semi-urban and rural areas as well. With less than a month of launch of our English online courses, we received 3 million footfalls to our website. Within this we received multiple admission applications from across 180 cities including Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Considering the potential scope of the market, we have decided to launch our courses in Hindi and other vernacular languages. We are also planning to launch online courses for Nepal and Bhutan region.”
The company has been operating in a B2B offline classroom model and has a successful record in mentoring and teaching early geniuses in the field of Robotics. With the help of its team of specialized trainers, it will be educating students online through various curriculums it has been successfully using across schools. The online platform is operated in an interactive manner where kids can practically develop robotic inventions at the convenience of their homes.
The company’s students have been World Record Holders at the young age of 5 and have also developed many interesting robotic machines in the past and amid the lockdown to help fight the pandemic. With Live Trainers and other digital methodologies, the company will help students experience hands-on practise in STEM Subjects by using Robotics.
