R&M increases Antimicrobial data outlets for R&MhealthLine cabling program

R&M is expanding its range of antimicrobial data outlets. And that makes the R&MhealthLine cabling program even more flexible to use. An R&MhealthLine installation prevents bacteria and microbes from reproducing on the surface of the protected components.

New to the R&MhealthLine program are three additional data outlets which make it easier to use the R&MhealthLine system in various application areas –

· Hospitals use R&MhealthLine in rooms for patients, in diagnosis and therapy, as well as in operating theaters.

· The antimicrobial cabling program is also perfect for use in all institutions and areas in which hygiene is a top priority, such as nursing homes, washrooms, waiting rooms, catering facilities, laboratories and production facilities for food and pharmaceuticals.

In these places, hygienic connection solutions are often required for data and communication networks. Conventional cabling technology cannot normally fulfill today's hygiene requirements long term.

Silver ions in the surface of the plastic parts of R&MhealthLine products inhibit the growth of bacteria and microbes. This reduces bacterial contamination on the surface of protected components between the normal cleaning cycles. R&MhealthLine helps to minimize unintentional contamination with bacteria from the product surface when touching cabling components. Alongside the outlets and mounting plates with RJ45 sockets, the R&MhealthLine also comprises shielded and unshielded patch cords as well as protective caps and coding elements. They are compatible with the modular cabling system R&Mfreenet that covers all areas of structured building cabling.
