RedMi debuts its smart band in India
Mi India announced Redmi’s entry into the wearable fitness category with the launch of the Redmi Smart Band. Featuring a host of functionality curated for all kinds of individuals, Redmi Smart Band is an all-in-one holistic smart fitness band.
Redmi Smart Band sports a 2.7 cm (1.08) coloured LCD touch display, which allows easy access to a multitude of watch faces, and cycling through the watch controls and notifications. It features USB direct charging, allowing the band to be charged directly from any USB Type-A port, thus eliminating the need of an external charger. The straps on Redmi Smart Band are easily interchangeable with four colour options, Black, Green, Blue and Orange.
Equipped with features with an aim to cater to a wide spectrum of scenarios, it comes with 5 different modes of tracking, outdoor running, treadmill, cycling, walking and freestyle exercise. Paired with continuous heart rate monitoring, these modes provide accurate and in-depth analysis in real time. The in-built sleep monitor tracks and analyses sleep patterns providing an insight into the intricacies of sleep patterns.
It also brings weather updates, music control, notification alerts and call rejection directly to the wrist. All these functions are accessible via Xiaomi Wear and Xiaomi Wear Lite apps which are available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App store. Redmi Smart Band offers up to 14-day battery standby time and can charge fully to 100% in 2 hours. It can be paired with devices that support Android 4.4 or above and iOS 9.0 or above.
Like every Redmi product, Redmi Smart band also maintains the highest standards of quality. Water resistance up to 5ATM ensures care-free workouts and day to day usage.
Priced at INR 1599, the Redmi Smart band will be available from 9th September 2020, 1:00 PM across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios.
“In May 2020, we had announced our aim to expand Redmi India’s portfolio in categories that not only help democratize the market, but also bring an accessible connected ecosystem for the consumers. With the launch of Redmi Smart Band, we are foraying into the wearable market with an aim to make personal fitness tracking accessible to a larger customer base. In today’s extraordinary times, it is important for one to prioritise fitness and wellness. Redmi Smart Band brings with it the functionalities to do just that by covering all possible fitness activities of an individual,” said Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Mi India.
