Rajiv Mehrishi appointed as CAG of India

With the recent order of the Government Rajiv Mehtishi has designated as the new Comptroller & Auditor General of India,The 1978 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre and former Home Secretary ,he will replace Shashi Kant Sharma,who is retiring on September 24. Mehrishi has retired from the post of Home secretary after serving a period of two years. This came along with the appointment of 17 new secretaries and additional secretaries.He will have a three year term as CAG.
