The thrust on digital economy is a welcome move as well. With the government increasing basic customs duty on optical fibre, the focus seems to now shift to Make in India. Overall, the budget has set the right tone to enable connecting the unconnected and also scaling the country to be able to develop global best solutions for high speed wireless connectivity.”
