Powin Energy brings Scalable Energy Storage System
Powin Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Powin Corporation has launched its new line of scalable and affordable energy storage solution products for the residential, commercial, industrial and utility markets.
Powin Energy's storage system is believed to rely on the company's LiFePO4 battery technology. Using Powin's proprietary software, the system is said to be remotely controlled and monitored via the Web. The battery management system is supposed to be integrated into each battery pack for ease of configuration.
The Powin Energy system is scalable, with a modular design that is said to provide flexibility in load and storage capacity. It is also believed to be highly reliable, incorporating features such as over- and under-voltage protection, over-current protection, short-circuit protection and high/low temperature protection. The Powin Energy system can be easily incorporated into existing power systems, for example as a lead acid battery replacement.
