POCO launches M2 Pro smartphone with Snapdragon 720G, 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charger in-box

POCO has announced the launch of their new smartphone, POCO M2 Pro. Featuring a balance between performance and efficiency, the smartphone will be available for purchase on Flipkart, starting 12 noon, 14th July onwards with a starting price of INR 13,999.

Smart Performer

POCO M2 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and features an 8nm fabrication process that ensures power efficiency. The processor features eight Kryo 465 cores (2 x Gold – Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.3GHz and 6 x Silver – Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8 GHz), and the Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU, which allows to take charge of balancing performance and efficiency; Snapdragon’s Elite Gaming features, on the other hand, ensure a pleasant gaming performance.

Paired with upto 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, POCO M2 Pro is geared for serious multi-tasking as well, besides gaming. It features UFS2.1 storage up to 128GB with a dedicated microSD slot for further expansion.

5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charger in-box

From online shopping to gaming, from binge watching series to work calls; with everything shifting towards smartphone-first, users need a long-lasting battery on their devices. POCO M2 Pro comes packed with a massive 5,000mAh built-in battery.

It also features a 33W fast charger out of the box, which can charge the phone to 50% in a mere 30 minutes.

48MP AI Quad Camera

Featuring a quad-camera setup, POCO M2 Pro comes with a 48MP wide camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera along with a 2MP depth sensor, making M2 Pro quite a capable shooter.

While the 8MP ultra-wide camera allows users to take pictures with a field of view of 119 degrees, the 5MP macro camera details the close-up shots, comes with auto-focus and can shoot videos in 1080p.

On the software front, POCO M2 Pro features various modes within the camera app to allow users to make the most out of the hardware. Using the RAW mode, users can capture pictures with the least amount of compression and get more flexibility in photo editing, while Pro-colour mode enhances the colours of the view on-device. Pro Video Mode extends this to moving pictures. In addition to this, the POCO M2 Pro comes with a 16MP in-screen selfie camera with night mode.

POCO Launcher 2.0

Running POCO Launcher 2.0 out of the box, M2 Pro carries an app drawer by default which is highly customizable with icon packs, grids, etc. Users will also be able to choose between the minus one screen of MIUI for POCO and Google’s Discover, for the first time ever.

With a clear focus on enriching the user experience, POCO M2 Pro has a 16.9 cm (6.67) Fullscreen Display, a side mounted fingerprint scanner along with Z-Shocker Haptics. It features triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is protected by P2i’s nano-coating technology which makes the device splash- and dust-resistant. On the structural front, POCO M2 Pro also features reinforced corners on its chassis.

Availability

POCO M2 Pro will be available in 4/64GB, 6/64GB and 6/128GB storage variants for INR 13,999, 14,999, 16,999, respectively. Buyers have a choice between Out of the Blue, Green and Greener, and Two Shades of Black colour variants. POCO M2 Pro will be available for purchase via Flipkart starting 12 noon, 14 July 2020.
