PlayStation network accounts get permanently suspended for unknown reason
A wave of PS4 and PS5 users have found their PlayStation Network accounts permanently suspended for no obvious reason. The social media soon bubbled with complaints on December 4 as users reported they could no longer access their PlayStation Network accounts. While there are plenty of legitimate reasons to have a PlayStation account permanently suspended, the affected users claim to not know why it happened.
This has prompted widespread speculation that it may be a mere glitch, although PlayStation has not provided any official statement on the matter.
If the permanent suspension is indeed accidental, it raises significant concerns. Creating a new PlayStation account is a straightforward process, but the inability to transfer purchases from one account to another poses a serious issue. Consequently, any games, DLC, or digital credit owned by the player on the affected account would be irretrievably lost.
"This account is permanently suspended from PlayStation Network due to violations of the PlayStation Network Terms of Service and User Agreement," read the message delivered to an X/Twitter user, who also claimed they can't appeal the decision. Customer service also allegedly told users to just create a new account before disconnecting them, without offering any assistance or explanation otherwise.
