Philips launches acceleration program for AI startups in healthcare

Philips has opened applications for its global startup acceleration program. The theme for this global program across multiple locations, including the US, Europe, India and China, is AI in Healthcare.
The 12-week program will provide early stage healthcare AI startups with access to experts both from within Philips and its global ecosystem of hospitals, clinicians, investors and partners. The Philips HealthWorks program is an intensive 12-week tailored program designed to help the startups build, test, de-risk and scale their ideas.
During the course of this year’s 3-month program from September to December, the chosen startups will have access to access to experts both from within Philips and its global ecosystem of hospitals, clinicians, investors and partners. By partnering with startups, Philips aims to accelerate the commercialization of complementary solutions that contribute to the needs of customers in Philips’ strategic areas of focus with the goal of developing an ecosystem of solutions that benefits customers and patients.
Srinivas Prasad, CEO, Philips Innovation Campus, Bengaluru, says, “Last year in the first cohort, we had talented startups with some great ideas in the field of healthcare. This year with our theme, AI in Healthcare, we aim to enhance our approach together with leading startups in the field. We stay dedicated with our efforts to help startups strengthen their value proposition and become successful sustainable businesses.”
