Trend Micro Incorporated in its event CLOUDSEC India 2018, which witnessed more than 650 business and technology leaders this year, upheld security-as-code and security automation as two important trends defining the future of cyber security. These two trends are in line with application development in the cloud computing era.
Trend Micro has recorded an incredible growth in its cloud business which contributes nearly 40% of its overall revenue in the country. The company observes strong uptake of private cloud from the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector; and that of public cloud from manufacturing, e-commerce, IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) sectors, and born-in-the-cloud businesses. New local customer acquisitions from 2017 to 2018 include the State Bank of India (SBI), the Syndicate Bank, Lupin Pharma, Bandhan Bank, PolicyBazaar, and Capillary Technologies, to name a few.

“There are three aspect of security – Technology, Process and People. We always believe that we are launching technology so fast that there is not enough manpower. There are millions of jobs available in the security positions. The technology which is relevant today may not be relevant after few years so what you need is to keep on leaning every day. With that thought we launched one program about two and a half years back in Cairo, Egypt which is a certification program in IT security. This is a very unique program in which we hire students like fresh graduates from engineering colleges spends a lot of time, energy and resources and gives them training for two to three months.
We are going to launch the same in the starting of first quarter in India starting from Bangalore. We have already built up a training center in Bangalore. As a company our job is not only to sell technology but to make it successful for customers to start seeing value,” concludes Jain.
