Established in 1992, NSE is the government owned stock exchange of India. NSE was the first exchange in the country to provide a modern, fully automated screen-based electronic trading system that offered easy trading facilities to investors spread across the length and breadth of the country.
In order to encourage research based on Indian capital markets, NSE has launched a cloud-based research facility - NSE Data Room (NDR). It is launched to facilitate researchers to access and analyse historical orders and trades data. NDR is a cloud-based data repository system with basic analytical tools and a software environment that can be accessed from any part of the country. Such a facility will not only allow usage of data available within NSE but in turn will also provide an enabling platform that paves the way for a wider gamut of research opportunities.
