Now the celebrities started talking on the TRP scam of Republic TV
Now, Salman Khan has broken in silence since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Salman who is still to utter a single word on the ongoing investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput's case took a dig at Arnab Goswami after his channel's name surfaced in the TRP scam.
The actor became an epicenter of social media trolling and became a hot topic of many media organizations especially Republic TV after Sushant died. Many accused him of doing politics in Bollywood and favoring star kids so that they easily get roles in movies.
Salman said while interacting with Big Boss contestants, "Bigg Boss ke andar ya kisi bhi show ke andar, you have to play the right game. Yeh nahi ki TRP ke liye kuch bhi khelo. Bahut achcha ja rahe ho tum log. From Day-1, I have never seen the response you are getting. To make it bigger and better, be honest and real. Not by ki yaar yeh bakwas kar raha hai, jhoot bol raha hai, chilla raha hai. Point yeh nahi hai. Woh aapke channel ko bandh kar denge. (In Bigg Boss or any other show, you have to play the right game. It should not be like that one can do whatever comes to their mind for the sake of TRP. From Day-1, I have never seen the response you are getting. To make it bigger and better, be honest and real. One should not say nonsense, speak lies and shout. This is not the point. They will shut your channel). Jo mujhe kehna tha, indirectly maine keh diya (What I wanted to say, indirectly, I have spoken)."
Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh claimed to have busted the TRP racket in which Republic TV's name came. Later, it was revealed that the FIR which Param Bir Singh quoted never pointed out Republic but named India Today network's involvement in manipulating viewership. However, it was Arnab who asked Salman Khan where he was hidden in his show.
