Nextra brings Smart ILL to optimize bandwidth usage

As per a recent update, Nextra Teleservices' Smart ILL (Smart Internet Leased Line) services' enables Corporate Customers to optimize and manage bandwidth usage in the Internet Leased Line (ILL) by blocking unproductive traffic and/ or prioritizing mission critical applications. For example, a customer may wish to block Movie download/ Torrent Applications, and/ or give higher priority to video conferencing traffic and/ or block specific sites & it is 100% Fool/ Hack Proof.

According to Nextra, corporates usually deploy Firewalls and /or URL blocking tools which are not as affective for bandwidth management and are also expensive for SME customers. Firewalls are not fool-proof and can be by-passed by users. Firewalls also cannot prioritize traffic; they can at best sub-optimally channelize some IP based traffic into smaller fixed pipes. Whereas, Nextra claims that its Smart ILL services are capable of doing all this.

Nextra demonstrates to prospective customers, their current bandwidth consumption pattern on their existing ISP set up & advises them on the optimum bandwidth utilization through their team of Bandwidth Consultants. Nextra can demonstrate MRTG type protocol wise visual charts to customers to enable them to see the pain points at peak time traffic, something that firewalls don’t do.

Customers have seen their 'dumb' ILLs evolve into 'Smart' ILLs and have got control over their traffic pattern. Nextra Smart ILL promises "Value for Money" that optimizes their operations, which in turn gives more productivity.
