SVP & Chief Marketing Officer, NTT Com – Netmagic
“For Netmagic, 2018 has been a landmark year. We launched two new high-density and hyperscale datacenters in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Mumbai’s datacenter (DC 6) will offer 7,900 m2 of server room area (equivalent to 2,750 racks), and the Bengaluru Datacenter (DC 3) will offer 5,700 m2 of server room area (equivalent to 1,500 racks). These two facilities have expanded NTT Com’s datacenter capacity (server room) in India by 70%. Both are yet another “Nexcenter” branded datacenters in the country. They will deliver Netmagic's entire suite of services including Managed Colocation, Dedicated Hosting, Multi-Cloud, IT Infrastructure Monitoring & Management, Managed Security, Disaster Recovery and Managed App Hosting. These datacenters are operational with some marquee anchored customers on-board already.
Today, we are pioneering multi-cloud based Hybrid IT Services – Delivery and Management of complex IT environments including multiple Public Clouds, Private Clouds, Captive DCs and third-party Colocation. This service enables the monitoring, provisioning and management of complex IT environments across multiple clouds. Netmagic has acquired the Intellectual Property (IP) assets of ActOnMagic, an intelligent cloud management platform company. This empowers customers to seamlessly monitor, provision, manage all the workloads of cross-multiple clouds in addition to comparing cost of running multi-tier application on any cloud. ActOnMagic’s ActOnCloud offers a SaaS-based Multi-Cloud Management and optimization service to help customer manage, provision and optimize their cloud resource on multiple clouds. ActOnMagic’s Cloudureka offers a simple SaaS service to discover cost of running multi-tier application on any cloud.
Earlier this year, we also entered into a partnership with Nuage Networks, the Nokia venture focused on Software Defined Networks (SDN), to enhance its Network as a Service (NaaS) portfolio based on its innovative Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solution. This will enable enterprises to automatically route and optimize network traffic and gain visibility of applications performance without spending more on bandwidth. The VNS solution will be deployed at our datacenters across the country. Apart from providing increased agility and flexibility through automation and maximizing the advantages of cloud, this deployment will also enable NTT Com India to offer advanced security services.
Netmagic is India’s leading Managed Hosting and Multi-Cloud Hybrid IT solution provider with 9 carrier-neutral, state-of-the-art hyperscale and high-density datacenters, and serving more than 2000 enterprises globally. Headquartered in Mumbai, Netmagic also delivers Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) services to various Enterprise customers globally including NTT Communication’s customers across Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific region. The company was the first in India to launch services – Cloud Computing, Managed Security, Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) and Software-Defined Storage.
Netmagic has nine datacenters in total: five in Mumbai, two in Bengaluru, and one each in Chennai and Noida. The two new high-density and hyperscale data centers were recently inaugurated in Bengaluru and Mumbai, with 1,500 and 2,750 rack capacities, respectively. The combined data center capacity across all these nine facilities is currently around 6,00,000 square feet and with the two new data centers, this will expand our overall capacity to 13,00,000 square feet.
Migration to SAP HANA from older SAP ERP deployments could also fuel a massive demand for our hybrid cloud offering of SimpliVPC and public cloud SimpliCloud. Currently almost all the older SAP deployments are done within enterprise datacenters. In the next two years, around 3,000 enterprises will move to SAP HANA and many of them will opt for co-location services. We see a big opportunity in security and that business is growing fastest though on lower base. We have a comprehensive suite of services backed up by 24*7 operation SOC (security Operations Centre), we are expanding our capabilities and services and have got goo wins in large SOC requirements.”
