Nepotism is reality in Bollywood: Janvhi spills the beans
Nepotism does exist in Bollywood. But that does not mean every Bollywood star kid would have a cake walk entry into this industry. Everyone has to undergo his or her share of struggle, but it is just that they do not have to struggle that much as compared to the outsiders. It has been a long time since nepotism has been a talk of the town and the topic just denies to die down anytime soon.
During an interaction with a leading magazine, star kid and Dhadkan actor Janhvi Kapoor spoke about nepotism and being well aware of the facts that focus on the head start offered to the star kids she claimed to understand their feelings of being cheated a little bit.
“Nepotism does exist in Bollywood. There are things that people who do not come from this background — would have gone through to get work and recognition, which I didn’t have to. Their struggle is much more relatable for the common man than mine would be. In fact, I don’t think I’ve had too much of a struggle, but now that I’ve got this opportunity, I better work to make it worthwhile for myself and for the audience,`` said Janvhi.
Soon Janhvi will be seen playing the titular role in her upcoming film - Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. She also said that female protagonists need to be normalized.
