NEC Technologies India unveils FIWARE-based Integrated Command & Control Center for Smart Cities
NEC Technologies India Private Limited (NECTI) has announced the launch of FIWARE- based Integrated Command & Control Center for Smart Cities.
This solution will act as the brain of cities, by interconnecting embedded sensors around city surveillance, intelligent transport management, solid waste management and parking management, to empower decision-making through visualization and analytics for city authorities.
“This move is in line with our strategy to adopt FIWARE as a standard for Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Cities applications and solutions in India,” said Jaspreet Singh Dhanjal, Associate Vice-President, NEC Technologies India. “Empowering and integrating the Integrated Command & Control Center with FIWARE will help use the power of Next- Generation Service Interfaces (NGSI) data models for the future smart cities, which will rule on data economy.”
In April 2018, NECTI announced the launch of FIWARE Lab node in India to encourage application developers, solution providers, government bodies and academia to experiment and innovate with FIWARE-based solutions for smart cities.
In continuation with the enhanced engagement and commitment towards FIWARE, NECTI along with FIWARE Foundation will be participating in one of the prestigious IoT events in India-M2M & IOT Forum, to be held on January 14 & 15, 2019 in New Delhi. NECTI will showcase multiple IoT solutions based on FIWARE in areas of public surveillance and Disaster Recovery.
